Artist's Comments

Bored and fiddling with some things, trying to learn new techniques and which forumals I seem to work best with each other.

On this one I tried using different forumals to get different looks to it, and soon I actually had a final image in my head I wanted to achieve. It started out with the "vines" and went from there.

The title comes from me imagining what it would have looked like looking down Jack's beanstalk from "Jack and the Beanstalk" ... only through the eyes of Tim Burton. Hence the use of primarily the grays and blacks with only a little turqouise coming through.

I like this, I hope to continue to practice and tweak my skills.

enjoy.

Edit: Sorry for the edit and it being back in your message centre.

I used Ultra Fractal 4.02 and Photoshop CS2 for this. Most of the work was done in UF while the border and text was done in CS2.

the way the spiral from the back appears, its not like he climbed to heaven, its like he climbed forever.

the colour use is good, not modernistic, like one or two colours, but just beyond that, its a powerful piece...
but thats me rambling...

it flows very well, not really any contrast, which is a theme in devart,

keep up the good work

Thanks for your input. Yeah, I've been trying to use more colors ... but I dislike having a lot of vibrant colors in my fractals unless there is a reason for them.

But what did you mean by there is no contrast?

funny thing is, this was inspired by my shampoo.

Great UF work here (I guess it's UF, anyway). I use Apophysis myself, so I don't know of anything you can do to the fractal itself. I would suggest a little more of the turqouise, and having it come through a little more randomly, though.

Much improved imagery indeed! The lighting and blending is really smooth.

Thanks! I'm still working on improving, but I am very happy with this one.
